If you’ve been reading our blog lately, you’ve probably come across Skott‘s amazing music as we already covered her stunning debut single “Porcelain” and the follow up “Wolf” to an ensuing tidal wave of blog support and subsequently some radio coverage by Zane Lowe and Annie Mac on Beats 1 and BBCR1 respectively.

With that in mind, it’s not a surprise that Skott has made a space for herself in the european music scene with a pristine, clear voice as well as that sensational vocal range of hers. Her signature in fact. And she just dropped the amazing third single to her name titled “Amelia” which is equally impressive and a testament to the progression of her material over the releases.

With “Amelia”, the Swedish musician led commune inhabitant teenager she once was, has decidedly made her breakthrough and should carry on doing so with high profile live shows lined up in the coming weeks. Notably, a slot in Paris for Pitchfork Music Festival Avant Garde line-up that we’re really looking forward to attend !

Skott on “Amelia” :

I get a bit nostalgic. Amelia reminds me of my first love as a young teenager when I’d dream up crazy plans for the future. They weren’t always realistic but they were honest and dramatic.

Stay, stay
Amelia
Stay, stay
Amelia
I swear if you reach that door
You’re not welcome anymore
Stay, stay
Amelia
Plates and bottles on the floor
I can’t fix them on my own
Gee we had it figured out
Limitless in love
We even broke into a warehouse
So no one would find out
Your father chased us down
We even packed that suitcase
Are you really walking out?
Stay, stay
Amelia
If you reach that door
Stay, stay
Amelia
I swear if you reach that door
You’re not welcome anymore
Gee we had it figured out
Limitless in love
We even broke into a warehouse
So no one would find out
Your father chased us down
We even packed that suitcase
Are you really walking out?
Amelia
Stay, stay
Amelia
If you reach that door
Stay, stay
Amelia
If you reach that door
We’re gonna fall apart
If you decide to see me
We’re gonna fall apart
If you decide to stay
Gee we had it figured out
Limitless in love
We even broke into a warehouse
So no one would find out
Your father chased us down
We even packed that suitcase
Are you really walking out?
