Dark Light

There’s no turning back once you hit play on new track “No Sleep” by Swedish duo Snow Culture from Stockholm. Just freshly signed to Neon Gold records (Christine And The Queens, Haim, Marina & The Diamonds amongst other notable acts), the pair releases a fitting video for a destructive track.

From the get go and its rolling percussions, coupled with that blast of an intro as well as that pounding bass line that just keeps giving. To the seemingly understated vocals. Everything here is deceptive. Until the guitar solo kicks in and cements the whole effort into an effortless anthem. “No Sleep” is, was and will remain a fantastic debut track by an unknown duo. They describe themselves as a new movement arriving under cover of darkness and blanketed in permafrost. A new Scandinavian production outfit that sure has something potent to say to the world in the form of music.

Why not follow them and see if they meant it. Follow their social profiles and make sure you play the video (above).

Introducing : supermodel*

There’s a special kind of confidence in not trying to be cool, and Beanie — the 24-year-old brain behind supermodel* — has turned that philosophy into a surprisingly addictive debut statement. Inspired by early Talking Heads doing absolutely nothing until it somehow became iconic, supermodel* operates in a blissful state of anti-intent. No grand lore, no mood boards, no “this record explores…” press-release nonsense. Just instinct, taste, and a healthy disregard for expectations.
