Dark Light

Here’s a promising debut by Lili Also from Helsinki in Finland. Knife Girl brings a sharp, well-chiseled brand of licked alternative pop to the table. So good, in fact, we had to come out of hibernation to share it with you. The 20yo songwriter drops her new project in the form of a debut solo single titled “Give It 2 Yu” off an equally appealing EP due out on July 2nd via Soliti Records. She dives into the deep end after collaborating with Olli over of the past few years and brings impressive, precise, and lush instrumentals coupled with tastefully placed authenticity in her very organic feelings. A sort of music chameleon as she’s already been dubbed.

Having been around on Soundcloud since the tender age of 15 and having collaborated with established artists like Ryan Hemsworth, Blackbear, In Love With A Ghost, and Daniela Andrade, Lili Aslo is fast becoming the one to watch from up north. The Scandinavian pop-star in the making ready to take on the world. Cementing her rise recently (late in 2020) by putting pen to paper with Playground Music which should help boost her profile and land some real tangible success across many markets.

The first new music from Knife Girl comes in the form of single “give it 2 yu” which is officially released on the 4th June 2021.

I’ve compiled some songs I recorded at home the past year for this EP. Some are more goofy than others, but they all represent some part of me.

Knife Girl tells us of the EP “Metro” due out on July 2nd 2021.
