It’s been two days now of non-stop Jack-White-Love-Interruption-Blunderbuss madness here in my vicinity. With the release of his first solo album, the website + forum + Facebook is buzzing with plenty of nonsense. Sometimes it’s just a welcome break to be able to step away from said music and indulge ones earholes into something completely different. Uh! THE LIFE I LEAD IS SHAME-A-PLENTY you’d say and I’d totally back you up. Anyway been hunting & gathering the net for the major part of the evening and quite glad with the finds (below), enjoy :

And don’t forget to check this new soul/swamp/rock formation from Alabama. Named, you guessed it : ALABAMA SHAKES. The front woman has one of those instantly-EPIC-whatever-she-spits-out kinda voice and an equally impressive band on her flanks. Altogether they dish out sweet heavy soul with a grimy swamp-sweaty-rock for side-orders ! Nothing to leave behind, everything in there is to be kept… They are subject to a hell a lot of hungry mouths over at Third Man Records and will no doubt be featured in one of the inaugural servings of the Live Series by Third Man.
