Ain’t this some friggin’ good news or what ?? Future Islands are making a huge comeback this March, on the 24th. With a brand new, Chris Coady produced (Beach House, YYYs and Grizzly bear to name a few) ten track album to be released via 4AD. Oh boy, Oh boy the follow-up to 2011’s On the Water is a #WIN. Samuel T. Harring (frontman), William Cashion (on guitars) and Gerrit Welmers (on keys) need to be seen live, this is not an understatement fools. From lyrics, to arrangements and interpretation.
This synth-epic band from Baltimore knows how to get your spine tingling. It’s their debut for 4AD after dropping their previous stable after parting ways with Thrill Jockey, and their overall 4th LP under their belt. I honestly can’t wait to spin it, on MY own hi-fi, in MY own room… uninterrupted.. !
They are gonna be huge this year. Mark. My. Words.
