Dark Light

Pink Gloves (civil name Petr Pliska) is one to watch for next year. That’s why we added his to our Radar #2015 category. He dropped a tasty first debut via Paris based talent stable Opening Light (home for outsiders like Employee Of The Year, Portland and SUNA to name a few) and we can only follow his lighthearted melancholic electropop with debut single “Fading Stars”. Heavily influenced by the 80’s awesomeness this great track proves once again, it’s not tacky to be longing for the eighties and even better when the overall vocal and production follow suit to the best of what it can deliver. Pink Gloves comes straight from the landlocked country of The Czech Republic, with capital city Prague considered the most beautiful city in entire Europe, superseding, hands down, my hometown of Paris. Although I’ve never set foot in Prague myself I feel I’ve made a connection every time I’ve played this track since I discovered it… Make that same journey yourself. Hit play. Sit-back, relax and enjoy the flight.
