Dark Light

Here at Sodwee.com, we like to follow-up on far reaching artists. Specially when we get to follow their blossoming career from scratch. And it was/still is the case with 19 year-old New Zealand based and London born R&B singer-songwriter Thomston also known as Thomas Stoneman.

So much so, that in the time we first covered his whereabouts and today, the then teen has come a long way. Signing deals right left and center. And under new management, in fact, the same management as Lorde (Saiko Management). Thomston has now the EP to support his blossoming success in the music industry. A heartfelt foray into the ups and downs of a teenage heartbreak in Auckland, New Zealand.

It’s very classy, close-up vocals paired with lush instrumentals, that await you with the latest EP “Backbone”. The kind that washes upon you and never seem to dry away. Sometimes, drawing clear influences from Josef Salvat, BANKS and other similar contemporaries. A fresh, albeit dark look on modern pop.

Hey if you need more convincing, come down to his European shows, and make a judgement for yourself. The lad will be touring and showcasing Europe in May in support of the Backbone EP here are some of the dates scheduled so far… And the full EP for your listening pleasure(s).
