Dark Light

We were ecstatic to find out Moonchild, this soulful jazz outfit from Los Angeles were to release a new track from their anticipated fourth album. Having seen them live in Paris, at La Maroquinerie a few months back and the way they mesmerized the crowd into a blissful trance. I was pretty excited to hear new material from the new album ‘Little Ghost’. Spearheaded by Amber Navran, the lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist behind the entire operation.

Amber Navran explains a little more about the newest track “Money” in detail:

As a creative, we all feel a lot of uncertainty at any given part of the process. Sometimes it stops us from taking steps forward, or from putting out music. I’ve felt and pushed through that, and I have so many very talented friends struggling with the same feelings. This song is for one of them in particular but applies to all of us”.

With support from industry heavyweights such as Phil Taggart of Radio One BBC 1Xtra, Complex, Hypebeast and Cool Hunting, Moonchild, is undeniably aiming high and has what it takes to fulfill their ambitions creating a smooth delivery for chilled well calibrated jams they’ve accustomed us to in the past.

Moonchild are a LA-based multi-instrumentalists Amber Navran, Max Bryk, and Andris Mattson. They signed to Tru Thoughts and released an album titled ‘Please Rewind’ in 2005 to critical acclaim.

For Fans Of (#FF0) : The Internet, Kamasi Washington and Jill Scott to name a few.
