Dark Light

Kai Straw lost his job as a nightclub manager back in March of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He decided to follow his heart and pursue music full-time. With a few critical acclaims under his belt, a couple #1’s on The Hype Machine, winning The International Songwriting Competition for Best Unsigned and a few other achievements to his name, Kai Straw put heart, soul and sweat into his flurry of tracks (releasing one a month since he started his new project May), each a little more creative and honing on his craft to finally hold a serious contender with “Are You Coming With Me?”. It’s the start of a turn in our opinion. A turn to best fitting songwriting and sparkling production value that complement his vocal performance best. It really shines here with interspersed falsettos on the layered beats and a groovy bassline to boot.

Listen to Kai Straw‘s latest jam: “Are You Coming With Me?

Picture your favourite crush slowly and sensually peeling clothes and feeling that shiver down your spine as well as your partner’s emotional state rendering through the naked skin. “Are You Coming With Me?” is the auditory equivalent of sex. The track suggests plenty more with a seductive guitar riff, Kai Straw’s crooning abilities with the high-notes reached in an unmistakeable climax, finally, all the innuendo gems that populate the lyrics that could make anyone blush at this point are just a few of the reasons why you should let listen to this particular track.

“Are You Coming With Me?” is Kai Straw‘s sixth single since starting that project in May.
