Dark Light

My good blogger friend Schmike (ilovepie.co.uk) also of the flying breed, turned me on to this unexpected duo out of sunny Brighton, UK called Shinamo Moki. Departing from bedroom project Murdermostfoul, Auryn Tate Waring joined with his fellow art colleague and friend Felix Treadwell and began recording a series of songs influenced by the likes of Shlohmo, Washed Out, Metronomy, Steve Reich, Four Tet, Bibio and Neon Indian. It’s instrumentals done well. With chilled wavvy synths and great composition, you don’t even need vocals it’s so well done. I hummed my way to Wales listening to this and literraly loved it. So that’s why I’m writting on Boxing Day to share the finds with you my dears… We especially loved their Bandcamp freebie ‘Nicely (an intro)’, but carry on and stream their audio below from Soundcloud :
