Dark Light

Matt Woods – Ain’t No Use : “She is a wanderer, Sweet love carrier. She takes no passenger.”

There’s a difference between getting over someone, and choosing to move on from them. The track is about accepting that some people will always have a hold over you no matter how much you’d like them not to.

Cue the brand new acoustic track by Parisian’s youngest crooners in the name of HER :

With the amount of music I have to spin, I can only select a few to do write ups on – it’s a one man operation here, and my grey cells are dwindling by the hour – so here’s a little weekly bonus selection of music we haven’t had the time to cover but really do recommend nonetheless. These one liners are where I usually start my posts. It’s packed with the latest tracks, gems, and dancefloor goodness you’ve come to expect from Sodwee.com. SAFIA is an Australian electronica, indie pop band formed in Canberra. They won the Groovin’ the Moo competition in 2012 and were featured on Peking Duk’s ARIA top 5 single, Take Me Over. The band says the name comes from a song they wrote called “Sapphire”, but it does not mean anything. The band have since found out that safe means serenity in Arabic. When it comes to the band’s influences, they claim have a very broad range of styles and genres but list artists like Purity Ring, Major Lazer, Feed Me, Chet Faker, Disclosure and James Blake.
