Dark Light

Not much to feast on with Cloud Monet. All we know is that they hold some real sultry vibes, easy-listening jams and that they’re based out of Los Angeles, in the United States. “Skinny Dip” comes just in time for these late summer evenings with your significant other, you know, cozying up in each other’s arms. “Skinny Dip” is Cloud Monet original debut offering and we cannot help but notice the similarities with one other favourite of ours at Sodwee-HQ : Leisure. All for the right reasons of course.

This is the right kind of jam you’d play to impress who ever else happens to be in the room. Maybe actually showing some skin in the most erotic of ways and finally ending up skinny dipping. By all accounts we have some talented people behind this very young project. People that know how to turn a track into a summer hit. Cloud Monet is also a fun play-on-words with Claude Monet, the famous French Impressionist (“founder of French Impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement’s philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting”. Says Wikipedia).

For Fans Of (#FFO) Todd Rundgren, The Dream, How To Dress Well, and Classixx…

We’re sharing this track with you as fast as we could because we genuinely think these guys have the appeal required to become a true summer hit that will withstand time and trends… Hopefully the band also has a lot more to offer in the future.
