Dark Light

Grooves on grooves on grooves today courtesy of Gothenburg’s own Varas. His latest track “SERVE” melds dance-oriented indie with Varas’s own signature sound to create something that’s at once kinetic and dreamy, giving equal opportunity to zone out or boogie down at will.

There’s a great blend of modernity and classicism going on in “SERVE”. We get the tight-pocketed guitars laying down a timeless groove, but they’re accompanied by bursts of synths and wisps of airy pads that flesh the song out into something lush and luxurious. Varas’s vocals put the icing on top – easy and effortless with a nice cool crispness to round out the tune’s undeniable vibe.

Serve
Increase my heat and watch me burn
For you I burn forevermore
