The Sophs didn’t just arrive, they crash-landed on Rough Trade’s doorstep like an emotional meteorite. Their debut single “SWEAT” is a beautifully unhinged slice of sonic therapy: all jittery guitars, existential dread, and the kind of lyrical overshare that makes your group chat feel seen.
Frontman Ethan Ramon croons like he’s clinging to the edge of a breakdown, and obviously loving it. The track builds, spirals, combusts, and by the end, you’re not sure if you’ve danced or cried.
Think early Radiohead if Thom Yorke had a panic attack in a nightclub bathroom. The Lynchian music video adds just enough nightmare fuel to make you question your own grip on reality — and we mean that as a compliment.
