All the way from Galway on the West Coast of Ireland, here’s a long-overdue shout out to NewDad. A four-piece alternartive-rock outfit that packs a punch with a 90s tinged sound reminiscent of the good ol’ teen filled drama of my earlier days. Youth encapsulated in this brightly colored lunch box named “Blue”. The track was released in September last year, however unbeknown to yours truly Newdad bleeped its way onto our radar thanks to the band climbing the humanhuman charts.

They’ve also made quite the splash live on the Eurosonic Livestream 2021 with a bunch a songs you can now get from their BandCamp page.
With plenty of guitars to indulge in and a witty, well-penned set of lyrics to sing along to, NewDad have proven they have what it takes to make things move fast in their direction over the coming months. Once the pandemic is behind us, they’ll tour and make people bop at live venues. Absolutely no doubts about that.
