Dark Light

Here we are posting about a Swedish band we knew would only grow onto big things. Introducing them back in 2018 with their beautiful track “Siv (You & I)” and once more in August of last year (2020) with “Summer Of 99”. ViVii are now back with a brand new, glorious single titled “One Day”. Out today (27th January 2021) via the ever trusted Dumont Dumont record label based out of Stockholm, in Sweden.

Up from their forthcoming full-length album due to be released this year towards Spring, the track “One Day” is another foray into the signature sound of the band : euphoric, textured and with great balance in their vocal and lyrical output. Being a trio, it’s a testament to their maturity in the way they create. The vocals ring, linger and stay imprinted within your head. Revealing many more layers on each repeat listens.

Speaking about the new offering, ViVii says:

“On a rooftop in Brooklyn two years ago we had a farewell party to some good friends of ours that had joined us on tour. The 3 of us ended up alone, like we do most of the time… It started to rain and we started to chant a melody that has stuck with us since. This is the result of the ViVii chant that we always use right before we go on stage.”

Clearly the Swedish trio – singers and multi-instrumentalists Emil and Caroline Jonsson, and multi-instrumentalist and studio wizard as well as the band’s producer Anders Eckeborn – are on to something special. Racking up streams and growing in popularity across the globe, the band is on a great path. Keep a close eye. And spin “One Day” above for more.
