As I’m writing these words, Annie Mac (Radio 1) is probably playing this new tasty jam by Aquilo called “Better Off Without You”. It’s their opening track off their upcoming EP ‘Calling Me’ released next May 31st via the ever wonderful B3SCI label (aka Blablablascience) through which they’ve already worked with on the ‘Human’ EP late last year.
The duo, made of Tom & Ben from the Lake District (UK), once again deliver another bunch of very strikingly cinematic and impeccably produced tracks (previous highlights include, “Human”, produced by no other than the almighty : SOHN).
This EP release, is the third by Aquilo already. Having broken the scene last year, scouted and signed pretty instantly. The band was put to work for an obvious album outcome in the near future. They’ve so far worked with a array of artists from around the globe, including EDM young French wizard : MADEON… The first track taken from the EP is ‘Better Off Without You’ and taps into themes of love and heartbreak staying true to their signature and general aesthetics.
