NewDad – Blue
All the way from Galway on the West Coast of Ireland, here's a long-overdue shout out to NewDad. A four-piece alternartive-rock outfit that packs a punch with a 90s tinged sound reminiscent of the good ol' teen filled drama of my earlier days.
ViVii – One Day
ViVii are now back with a brand new, glorious single titled "One Day". Out today (27th January 2021) via the ever trusted Dumont Dumont record label based out of Stockholm, in Sweden.
Toledo – Dog Has Its Day
Toledo is a duo based out of Brooklyn, New York City with the firm intention of having our hearts melt every darn time their latest single plays in the background.
Gaidaa – COLORS Live in NYC
At the start of 2020 and before it all went south. Gaidaa released her debut EP Overture to critical acclaim. Today, she's back in the limelight with COLORS*studios, with a recorded live performance from NYC.
HÅN & GIUNGLA – CTR
I've been sent this upbeat collaboration between two of their incredibly talented artists. HÅN and Giungla drop their newest track "CTR" crafted over multiple ZOOM calls, emails, and a flurry of overly heavy files as they spent their lockdowns in two different countries.
Morly – Twain Harte
Visual artist and singer-songwriter Morly (aka Katy Morley) returns with newfound strength on the heartfelt single “Twain Harte" — her first new material as Morly since 2017. Read and listen to more here.
AnnaLina – It’s Seasonal
Get relaxed, get happy. "It's Seasonal" has all the right textures for a warm night in when it's cold out, and makes for a stellar debut from this Aussie up-and-comer AnnaLina
Steven Robertson – Roof Song
As a last effort, I walked into The Bitter End in Greenwich Village, where a guy in sweatpants and socks was putting on a stadium-sized show for a modest bar crowd. The guy was Steven Robertson, and I still think about that show all the time.
Hoosh – Nights
Hoosh first caught our ear with the ultra-introspective "Living Inside" a few months back. Today, the Sudan-born, Miami-based singer-songwriter is back with more catchy-as-hell self-exploration in "Nights", a laid back acoustic bop with sneakily potent lyrics about the vices that muddy up our pursuit of a life that's a little more whole.
Inude – We Share
Inude have sprung-up in our feed before with a brilliant little gem titled "So Easy" in the past. Giacomo, Flavio and Francesco formed the band back in 2014 and are originally from southern Italy. The electronic trio drips of soulfulness, spacey guitars and warm soundscapes that will take you on a journey.
